This page is a simple collection of links to some sites, and notes which can be used as an aid to pre flight planning. It may also serve as an aide memoir, just to make sure you've remembered the things you should be doing before you go flying.

Check The Aircraft DocumentsValid Certificate of Registration
  Valid Certificate of Release to Service.
Check that the hours to next scheduled or unscheduled maintenance have and will not be overflown.
Check that scheduled maintenance is not overdue (by date).
  Valid Radio Licence (It has an expiry date on it)
  Valid Certificate of Insurance (now a legal requirement)
 Valid Certificate of Airworthiness
Check the expiry date
CAA Certificates are normally valid for 3 years
EASA certificates will usually be valid for one year, although they are being issued for 3 years presently.
